10/28/12: Club/Board Meeting Scheduled for Monday, October 29th
The St. Louis Disc Golf Club Board Members and some of our most active volunteers will be meeting tomorrow night to discuss the issues most important to furthering of our favorite pastime in the area, recap the last month’s worth of action, and to actively plot world domination…well- maybe not so much on the last one, but as the largest Disc Golf Club in the country for (at least) the last 2 years we’re a driving force in our little corner of the universe and we want to make certain that we do all we can to be responsible stewards of the game here in the St. Louis area and across the Midwest. We’ll do our best to produce a set of public notes from the meeting to keep everyone informed on upcoming developments- there are some exciting things brewing on the horizon!

10/04/12: Monthly Letter from the RCF President (Oct. 2012)
I have not written one of these since April – my life got real busy with the STL Open (May), Work Travels (May and June), and then my grandson (Tyler) was in the hospital recovering from a brain tumor for 10 weeks from July 12 until late September. The good news is he recovered with no more tumor and no more cancer! He has a lot of physical rehab and speech therapy ahead of him, but we can handle that.
Now, here we are with the club championships coming up this weekend! We should have a great event – here are some highlights:

9/9/12: Club/Board Meeting Scheduled for Monday, September 10th
Sorry for the late public notice (again!), but another Club/Board Meeting is upon us! An exciting time of the Disc Golf year- the air is getting crisp again, autumn will be upon us in full force in no time, and the 2012 Club season is coming to an end. We’ll be discussing the fast approaching Club Championships (10.6 & 10.7), the composition of the 2013 RCF Board, and continuing dialogue on course installation projects and next years schedule…be a part of plotting the course for the next 12 months of growth for the St. Louis Disc Golf scene!

8/8/12: Club/Board Meeting Scheduled for Monday, August 13th
It’s a Monday the 13th, not Friday, but the implications are just as ominous- yes, the STLDGC Club Meeting @ the Schlafly Bottleworks has come again!…(cue scary music)…Actually, it’s not as horrific as you might think: good beer, a nice patio, and serious frisbee business- it’s a killer combination. If you’ve got ideas to share, plans to discuss, or just want to hear the latest DG news from the area- come on out from 6p to approx. 8 to join in!

7/22/12: Bridgeton Bomber Pics & Recap
On Saturday, July 14th the St. Louis Disc Golf Club christened its newest signature course, Carrollton Park DGC, by holding the first annual Bridgeton Bomber tournament. By all accounts, the event was a great success- 60+ competitors, including the course designer and several top local pros, reasonable summer temps, and close competition throughout. 5/13/12: Club/Board Meeting Scheduled for May 21st
Another month, another meeting! We’ll be @ Club Sponsor Schlafly’s Bottleworks location on Monday May 21, circa 6pm, with plenty to discuss: rehashing the St. Louis Open and setting the groundwork for next year’s installment, discussing new course opportunities, and planning for upcoming events…click below for the Agenda and directions, and come out and join us!

5/9/12: The St. Louis Open- Recap
The 7th Annual St. Louis Open PDGA A-Tier was held this past weekend (5.5 & 5.6) at four St. Louis-area Courses and was, by nearly any measure, a success- 200+ golfers from 16 different states playing 54 or more holes on 3 courses each over 2 days, all vying to be #1 in their respective divisions. A Saturday night player’s party including great Cinco de Mayo fare and an informative free Clinic from 3 of the Non Stop Disc Golf Pros. A player’s pack with discs and swag galore, a full color Handbook, and a tourney stamped shirt. Hundreds of spectators of all ages lining the fairways as the Final 9′s came to their conclusion, and the 2012 STLO Champions were crowned.
The STLDGC is proud to have been a part of such an event, and as TD Dave West (#752) says in an article penned for PDGA.com, “This is disc golf at its best, and our young pros are doing a great job of representing and promoting the sport. Thanks to our volunteers and 3 neighboring clubs who helped with the event. Come join us next year for the 8th annual STL Open!”
