Jokerst Glow 8-22-10

Anyone know of any details of the Jokerst Glow that is on the RCF 2010 Calendar of Events for 8-22-10? Just wondering what time, cost, signup, etc. I'm assuming/hoping it's open to the public. I'm fairly new to disc golf (but completely addicted) and would love to try my hand at night playing.

Rookie question...Do I have to buy glow in the dark discs beforehand or do you all have the glow stick things I've seen around the internet.

I never carry cash with me...about how much should I bring total?

Obviously anyone who knows about this doesn't frequent these boards. Is there any other sites/forums that might be more active for events in the Festus area?

Disc up,
I am not sure of the details of the time of start, cost or others, but usually there is someone selling the glow sticks to be taped under the disc. I have some LED lights and Lithium batteries that I can sell, 2 lights and 1 battery for $1, but that is only if I still have some after the Quail glow the night before. Also that would mean a drive from Lake Saint Louis to Jokerst on a Sunday night, maybe, but I am not sure. If you get glow disc, nothing charges them up like a black light, which you can get at a "Spencers". I hope this helps you out some, if I get wind of time, & fees I will post them for you.

For anyone interested...I talked to a guy out there tonight and he said $10 (not giving away any discs), show up around 7 and tee off around dark (8-8:30).

I'm going to check Wal-mart for the fishing lure glow sticks.

The RCF schedule has this event for Sunday night, I apologize for the short notice change. If anyone planned on playing Sunday night, give me a call, I will see if I can arrange for you to play. For those of us that are poorly planning the event, it was decided to change the date to Saturday night. This is going to be very casual play.

Yes, singles event.

One round of 18, food, and another round of 18. We have the park until midnight, and we have been done before then the past 2 years.

When my little group of people showed up Sunday night with no one around, I was thankful that the RCF schedule was posted saying "Sun 8-22" so they didn't think I was an idiot . We ended up playing our own 18 with each of us taking turns shining our flashlights on the basket so the others could putt. We had a good time, wish we would have been there Saturday.
