2010 Membership Drive

I spend most of my time at Unger getting it ready for play. The new 9 hole course is in and playable all year round. There is a lot of work still to do. On Monday, I spent nearly 3 hours cutting paths around hole 6's green and 8's green with JC Lightle. Neil Brown showed up towards 3p and helped us drag all the brush up to the parking lot. The paths will make it easier to find errant discs without mowing the entire area. The park is such a sweet piece of prime disc golf real estate that it has been a labor of love to shape it.

With the alternate tees, this course is becoming my favorite playground. There is nothing else like it in the area. Come to think of it, each course in St Louis is different from the other and gives you a unique experience. We are blessed to have so much.

Effective immediately, the cost of membership has been reduced $5. Therefore it is $15 with a disc and $10 without a disc.

Is this reduction permanent? or just due to the shortened season? IE 3 months left in the 2010 membership year.

id assume just this season due to the drive to get to 1000 members by october, thats when you can buy the 2011 membership at regular price again (20$)


but i paid 20 earlier this month and have no proplem with the price its going to a good cause (to maintaining and improving your local disc golf courses)

when a disc is less than 10$ and the courses are free its the cheapest sport there is even with a yearly membership

For the remainder of the fiscal year, the cost of membership with a disc is $15 and without a disc, $10. We are not expecting to order more discs or tags so when we run out, they will be gone. The board has approved revenue sharing as an incentive for new members to join us and support their home course. $5 of your membership will be earmarked for course improvements specific to either your home course, the location of your sign up or the course general fund (All). Please specify on your sign up sheet.
