That sounds awesome and makes a lot of sense. I was wondering how that all would be done tonight.

The 9th week sounds like a good time and perfect set up. I'm pumped. Should be fun. This was me and my partners first league we've ever done and its been a blast. Thanks to everyone who has helped to make this league organized and sucessful.

THE FINAL RESULTS!

Hope everyone had a good time. Congratulations to all of the winners! Dan Jobe was the big $ winner for Week 8 - both 50/50 holes and 2 of the ACE POOL CTPs - for a grand total of $148...and he and his partner win their division! Nice shooting!

No ACES were hit, so I was able to give out 5 $30 CTP prizes on Week 8. I will be doing the same thing next week at the 1-Disc Challenge. After giving out those 5 $30 CTP prizes, we will be left with $93 to carry over into the Summer II league.

I will be making several posts on here so everyone can look at the financial breakdown of the whole thing. I like my accounting to be completely transparent for everyone to analyze and scrutinize.

UPDATE
I am ordering 75 1-Disc Challenge discs for next week. If everyone in the league shows up, that will leave 10 extra spots (I am giving 1 disc to the stamp designer). I wouldn't expect everyone to make it, either. So I am guessing that I will have around 15 extra spots available. This tournament is available for EVERYONE to play. You do not have to be a member of the league to get in. As a guest, for $5 you get a custom stamped disc, a chance to win a killer plaque (PRO and AM), and an invite to the pizza party/awards ceremony/CTJ festival afterwards. You couldn't ask for a better deal! If you are interested, reserve your spot on this thread or just show up next Tuesday.

Here is the plaque design...

Names and scores will be different, obviously.

Nicely done. The plaques are kick ass. Looking forward to the one-discer. If possible, bring some plastic to the park because I don't think Rich or I will be at the party

How exactly does the 1-disc challenge work?

Is it a best shot doubles event where you just drive, approach, and put with the disc that is given to us?

Sounds fun. Should be interesting.

The one-disc tourney is a singles match. Everyone plays w/ the same disc that's handed out before you start (usually a putter) & shoot the best score you can. Typically the course is set up a little shorter, but I'm not sure about this year

Greg wanted me to let everybody know that the pizza party will be at The Bean House on Lemay Ferry. It's at the corner of Telegraph and Lemay Ferry. I think Pietro's pizza is on the menu.

Just curious, is that one-disc tourney 9 or 18 holes?

The 1-Disc Challenge is 18 holes. The course should be set up pretty short. Gateway could be giving us just about any type of disc - driver, midrange, putter, or special combo - so the shorter the better. I just picked up the plaques from Johnny Mac's. They look nice! I also had a special plaque made for the CTJ Champion. I'm not sure how Neil will want to award this to the winner, so we will play it by ear.
