broken basket

the basket for hole 17 has been broken/vandalized. here's a pic:



i played/noticed the problem in the mid-morning of saturday, sept. 18th. the nubs where the chain assembly attaches to the top grille seemed to have been sawed off, or something. i suppose it may be the case that there's some easy fix that i just wasn't/aren't aware of, but i thought i'd bring this to folks' attention.

I believe what you are saying. I cannot wait to fix all of the chains with the over the top strap ons that they will have to unscrew all of the tops. I heard this a few days ago. The boys are loosing there places to go SD and do not like it.

I guess that shows that they really are pole smokers, where as most of us are chain smokers.

i don't know if this is directed at me specifically, but i don't know when i'll get out there next. if no pic is forthcoming before my next round out there, i'll try to remember to pack the camera. i really just take pics once a season or so at each course to give myself and my crew (and anyone else, i guess) an idea of what the holes look like throughout the year- and to jog our rapidly aging memories for courses we don't hit very often!

Fairweather_fan, sorry, that was not directed at anyone particular.

Having that pic at the top of the page just really sucks. Would be nice to replace it
with the new fixed photo.

Also would be nice to show that we get the baskets fixed quickly if they are damaged.

Just who ever gets out there 1st with a camera and post the pic here would be awesome.

I went to Unger 17 on Friday evening to cut the bolt that holds the basket top in place. The basket top and chains were already removed.
Does anyone have information regarding the missing parts? Dave Mac does not know who cut it down.
While I was there I raked and removed most of the stumps on 17's green. Small improvements a little bit at a time.
