Concrete tee pads

Postby magic on Mon Aug 12, 2013 10:08 am

The SCCDGC has paid for concrete tee pads at the Ranch. John Reeds has been doing a ton of work out there not only getting the frames set, but has also added a second set of tee pads and alt pin placements on every hole. The first 8 tee pads were poured this past week and John is hoping to get the rest of them poured next week. Thanks John!

that teepad looks great!

May be time to consider the long drive out there worth it... it's been a while and no tee's was part of the reason why.

All of the concrete tee pads have now been installed. I'm not positive on this, but I believe there are now acutally 19 holes at the Ranch. All but one has the concrete pads. The only one that doesn't is hole 1 due to the tee pad being right next to the creek and the ground had too much sand to do anything.

Those pads look awesome! I haven't been out to the ranch in a while.....is it now officially a pay-to-play course??

It has always been a pay to play course. $3 for all day as many rounds as you want. If you haven't been out there in a while they have done quite a bit of work...not just on the course. On the course though there are 2 sets of tee pads (one now concrete) and multiple placements on every hole. They've even added an extra hole. The course looks and plays great. I rarely get to play out there either, so I'm surprised myself how much has been done every time I get out there.

Here are a few more pics of the tee pads. They are a full 5' x 12'. We were able to use the frames from ICC to save some money. I haven't been out there myself since the first ones were poured, but these pics sure make me want to take a trip out there.

Yes sir!
That sure looks a lot better than the last time I went. Heck, looks like a tee sign in that one photo... that's gotta help. Hell, I've never even been sure I played the right tees to the right holes when I was there because nothing was marked and the baskets seemed to have random numbers on them.

I guess I'll be putting this on the list for the next day when I have enough time to drive all the way up there.
