Results of the Horner Park Tournament:
Thanks to all who participated!! We had 25 players, and three additional people who donated the entry fee and just helped run the event. This was a basket fundraiser for future courses and the club made about $800 toward this goal. Our plan is to apply this to the Willmore course in STL city.
The overall winner is our illustrious Treasurer of the club - Joe Jaegers! His Blizzards still serve him quite well!
Hole #17 at Horner is something to see, and to play. On the pro tee, you throw across the water to a very narrow landing area between the water and road behind the hole. It is truly a risk/reward hole as there are often 2's or 4's. Jeff Ligon pushed very hard for this hole, and Ed Houston (the course captain) declared it be called "The Ligon".
