Understable Mid-Range

Postby DiscGolfFreak on Mon May 06, 2013 5:16 pm

I am wondering what a good understable mid-range would be. i throw RHBH and my forehand sucks so id like to use a understable disc so i can get the disc to curve right for me. just a disc for begging would work for me since i've been playing for about 2 years. i have been told the discraft meteor is pretty good for what i want. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

go with the discraft elite-z comet. it's the shiz.

I use a Latitude Core Gold line for that throw. It says it's stable, but always has a nice turn with little to no fade back. Works perfect for throws such as hole 12 and endicott. If I way under power it, it is strait then a slight fade at the end. May just be the one disc I got, but it works for me.

The Gateway Mystic (I'm pretty sure that's the right name, but mines a proto with no stamp) is similar in shape and flight to the Buzzz SS, but a little more understable right hand turn. Might be worth a try.

A big part of that equation is, "how fast and far can you honestly throw?" That's going to make a huge difference.

I'd say that a safe bet, in most cases, would be a DX Valkyrie, especially if it's a bit "beat in".
