Work Days For NEW 18 Holes

Postby scorekeeper on Tue Apr 09, 2013 4:49 pm

We have started work on the new course ;
I will be posting work days at least two weeks ahead so people can come out and help
Right now I am doing a little prep work to help others see the fairways ,and hopefully we can get the first 9 holes playable .
With the help of my son Chris his brother Josh ,Zach , Brantly and Betty .7 pin locations are already in the ground and some of the fairway on 4 is being cleared. We have 7 more pin locations to put in on the front 9.
and a lot of clearing to do.
For those of you who have never helped YOUR DISC GOLF CLUB grow NOW is the time.
Hope to see you soon. :D :ugeek:

Not exactly. The general flow is the same, but there are going to be more wooded holes and much tighter, control shots. 5 of the holes from the Club Championship temp course are exactly the same, the rest are more "creative".

Wrong Only 2 of the holes are the same and 2 other holes have changed directions
But shouldn't we be figuring out possible work days say like.
April 21st if you are not play'n somewhere
I ,that being Francis . will be with chainsaw and shovel working on #4's fairway
If anyone would like to help Please bring gloves and other hand tools.
NOTE everyone working on this course has to read, understand, and abide by the agreement we have with the Parks Dept. before they can work on this course.
Thank You and hope to see you soon ! :D

Work Days For NEW 18 Holes

Disc up,
This sounds like something that LAKERland could be needed for, so the LAKERS will forego Sunday LAKER league that day and help out. We will be shooting for some breakfast goods to help start the workday and go from there. Hope to see you there.

Today was a great work day for the 7 people that showed up, 4 of which are not club members.
Bruce brought food and Fun for all to enjoy,as always. THANKS BRUCE !
We managed to cover a lot of ground on fairway #4 ,and we are ready to put in the pin locations for this hole.
Wednesday night we are going to work on the fairway for #6, should not take to long if we get a few people out to help.
Again this course is for everyone BUT as a club we should work together to get this bad boy ready to play.
Sunday April 28 will be our next big work day, So if you want to help out our club Please bring some hand tools and a strong will to have fun as we make this course a reality. :ugeek: :geek: Peace out Francis and Krewe

Sounds like something the RCF club should get behind....

The best thing any of us can do right now, aside from showing up and helping, is to spread the word. Use a little guilt on your friends , it goes a long way.

Use your social media outlets (you know, Facebook and Twitter) and emails to help spread the word.

Imagine the beauty of having this second course ready in time for the St. Louis Open :D
