CCCP playable this year?

Postby jrud9182 on Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:19 am

Last year the course was not mowed until November I think.. Anyone been out there this year? Know if they plan on maintaining it this year? Any Insights?

According to a couple of the club board members, the park is not going to be closed this year.

As far as mowing the parks department will most likely mow about 3 or 4 times through out the grass growing season. At times the grass will most likely get higher than what the club wants, however we are at their mercy and can only hope for the best.

And that is an awesome ace. Makes me want to try and learn how to throw forehand.

That is about all we know: If Prop P passed, STLCO Parks said they would keep CC mowed this year. There was nothing deeper or more specific, just an informal arrangement that we hope they take seriously.

Thanks for the heads up. I went last year and it was a pretty miserable experience. Ended up going after the initial cut, but before they recut it... so there was giant disc eating clumps everywhere

In the prop P thread it was posted that they will mow the fairways every 2 to 3 weeks, and mow the whole park once a month. We will see if i thappens, but thats apparently what they told Dave West.
