It's that time of year again

Played the course yesterday for the first time in a couple months. Pretty much all of the Christmas decorations are up which primarily affects holes 3, 9, and 10. The gates are not closed yet so starting from the first tee is not an issue. Leaves will more than likely be heavy out their until the parks dept. cleans them up for the lighting display which starts the day after Thanksgiving.

Will rock springs remain playable UNTIL thanksgiving, do you know?

Played Rock Spring Park on Sat., 11/10, the gates were still open, which is good to see. But the course is STILL playable all through the Christmas season, you usually just can't park up by hole # 1. What we've done in the past is park by the tennis courts & then walk to hole # 8 & start there rather than # 1........& yes, the leaves are BAD in spots........

I played here yesterday and the gates are still open to where you can park by the first hole. I played up until about 5:10. They will turn the lights on around 3 or so, which kind of helps find discs that land near the road. Jeff is right, in spots, the leaves can be pretty thick. Keep a good eye on your disc and use spotters when necessary. Some players that regularly play out here have been losing discs near or in the creek that runs between holes 10 and 11, mostly because of how thick the leaves are on those holes.
