It looks like the PDGA has allowed sanctioned leagues to run for 10 weeks (they previously stated 8 weeks was the max), so our league will continue to run for 2 more weeks before I make the official submission. There is only 1 more week before I make the final submission to the PDGA. If I read it correctly, this means that you will receive PDGA points for the league similar to a C-Tier event. In other words, you will receive 1 point for each individual that you beat overall. Additionally, your Carrollton Singles PDGA rating will get factored into the next overall PDGA ratings update. Make sense?

I will try to get the final report sent into the PDGA tomorrow. I am not sure exactly what it all entails, so I am sort of feeling this one out the first time around.

Here are the results from yesterday...

Only a handful of participants showed up, but I am fairly certain that can be attributed to the fact that a VERY important baseball game was going on at the same time. Also, the normal Gateway players were all out at Dunnigan Park getting down and dirty setting up the new course. If I didn't have to run the league, I am pretty sure that I would have optioned out as well. That said, the group that did show up had a ton of fun. All of the SKINS, CTPs, 50/50s, and scoring was in "real time". We knew exactly what every shot meant to our pocketbooks! Very entertaining!

For the time being, the league will not be PDGA sanctioned. Until I get a solid answer from Dave as to whether or not he wants this to continue throughout the winter, I won't be able to go forward with the PDGA end of it all. You pretty much have to guarantee that the league will exist for a minimum of 6 weeks and plunk down the cash ahead of time to make it happen. I am not saying that it won't happen, I just don't know for certain at this point in time. If it does get sanctioned, I will allow all previous rounds to get updated at that point...

The final card will go out at 3:53 PM next week!
