I am going to try to keep an updated list of all the players that are stilled owed money from previous weeks. This money will ALWAYS be available on any given Monday. If you haven't made it to league in a month, no worries, your winnings will still be ready for you when you finally do make it back...

The weather is shaping up to be the best we have seen in quite some time this afternoon/evening, so this would be a good opportunity for some new players to give the league a shot. Also, the amount of players that have acquired their official league handicap is growing every week, so the amount of cash being given away and the amount of spots being paid out will also be increasing! This is when things should start to get REAL interesting. I just wish I had sanbagged a bit so I would be getting more than 4.5 strokes!

I am going to be making one other change to the league starting this week. The 50/50s have cost $2/each (for players with an official handicap) up until this point. The extra money collected was being earmarked for a year end player's party or possibly some cash throwdowns on the final week. Problem is, I am not sure that there is a valid reason to end this league on a particular date. I am pretty sure Dave Mac has given me the go ahead to see if people will be interested in participating after DST sets in. If the interest is there, this league could turn out to be a year-round league. If that is the case, I will need to figure out some ways to dump off the extra money collected from the 50/50s. That being the case, I am going to lower the cost of the 50/50s to $2/each or $3 for both. This will help everyone save a buck each week...get yourself a candy bar and eat it with a smile on your face!

Here is some info...

Starting this afternoon/evening, the league will be utilizing a pattern for which set of tees is getting played every week. The pattern will be as follows - Red Tees first, White Tees second, and Blue Tees third. There is also the possibility of the Gold Tees getting thrown in after the Blue Tee round, but that will probably not happen more than a few times a year...they are extremely long and challenging and would put a serious time crunch on everyone to get the round completed. Also, the baskets should basically stay the same for the entire rotation as well. The baskets were all moved last week, so the present layout should stay the same for the next 3 weeks of league. There is always the possibility that a basket or 2 might get moved on any given week, so don't take anything for granted, however.

Everything kicks off from the Red Tees today, so come on out and get your low scores while you can!

Remember that this is a weekly payout league. In other words, you do not need to be present every week in order to participate. If you have never played in this league yet because you were unsure of how it all worked, rest assured that we have put plenty of thought in to how to make the league accessible to first timers, as well as all of the regulars. I made some previous posts that help outline all of the details...
