LAKER Aces

Postby emptv on Tue Jan 17, 2012 10:20 pm

Disc Up,
Sunday January 15, 2012 at White Birch DGC in Hazelwood around 10 am on hole #9. After changing disc on the pad ( a LAKER no, no) I tossed a Beast tomachuck style. It sailed through the 1st set of trees vertically, then as it approached the guardian trees it planed out, passed the guardians, inverted and crashed the chains. Being as it had been the last millennium since my last hole-n-1, I looked on the ground for the miss. Only when the celebration began did I realize that the drought had ended. :o  Pyrotechnics were going off, fire engines came to the course, chicks flooded the tee pad, and the 3 ring circus came to celebrate.
I had been watching a lot of aces on you tube and noticed that when a ace is hit, almost everyone raised their arms high. Even knowing this I still could not help but raise mine in celebration, it must be mandatory after a hole in one.
I forgot how good a ace feels, oh and the $184 for one throw didn't hurt either.

8-)

Cool ace story Bruce... great way to come back too. A tomahawk ace has got to be a rarity. Just beautiful.

I'm still reeling from the frustration of the two recent bounce outs I've had: 15 on QR (the over the trees hole) and 15 at CC - both were in the basket but had just enough speed to slide out the other side and flop to the ground.

Approximately at 4:20 pm, Friday, March 23, 2012, on an overcast, misty, Spring evening an ACE was recorded by, myself, Johnny Lynn, representing Rock Springs Disc Golf Course located in Alton, IL. The ACE was recorded at the very challenging disc golf course located in Endicott Park on Hole #4 with the target placed in the C placement. For those who are unfimiliar with the location of the park; it lies in the outskirts of historic St. Louis, MO. The park is specifically located in St. John Missouri. The disc thrown was a bright green Champion Valkyrie weighing in at approximately 172 grams. The backhand throw was used with my right arm/hand. My left arm just happens to be broke due to a freak whiffle ball incident. The green cast must be lucky!!! 8-)

Peace and Good Luck to ALL!
