I just finished the flyer and sent it to Greg for tweaking.

The format will be the same as last year; 4 courses of 2 rounds each; Watson Trails, Kircher, Blue Bird and Schroeder in that order.

Trophies for 1st place in four Am divisions; Advanced, Women, Intermediate and Novice.

No Trophy for Open or Pro Master divisions. (4 player minimum for a division - does not include Women)

$20 + $3 for non RCF members.

Join the Club and play for free without payout. Get tournament experience for free.

50/50 CTPs on all 4 courses (2 each). Cost is $4 per course or $12 for all 4 courses. If 30 players buy in, each CTP is worth $30.

Watson - flagged tee pads - shotgun start and rolling start thereafter - starting foursomes play together until final round - play quickly
Kircher - red tees first round and white tees 2nd round - play ready golf and move quickly
Blue Bird - red tee pads
Schroeder - red tee pads - shotgun start wt shuffled cards

Two 50/50 CTPs per course. (Check the flyer)
Two free merchandise CTPs per course (Zanfel is one) - RCF members only - wt paid entry fee
RCF Ace Pool is in effect - RCF members only - wt paid entry fee

We had 28 players last year. The field is capped at 36 players for a shotgun start at WT.
Please arrive early (before 8a) so we can get started on time.

I am told that the tee pads at WT were rebuilt by the Boy Scouts and are in worse condition than before. I will go out this afternoon and flag the tee pads for the event. Please use the flagged areas instead of the tee pads.

Pick your foursome beforehand as each starting foursome will play together for the first three rounds. Please figure out your carpool arrangements too. There is a commuter lot on the way to Kircher and is close to Hwy 141. The return leg after Schroeder brings you back to the commuter lot. There are plenty of other lots to leave your cars but you may not leave your cars at WT.

You may reserve a spot or a foursome by posting here or calling me.

how late do you think this will run?

And is it possible to show up morning of event and get paired up with other people? I don't carry a posse with me.

The pre-reg is to get people thinking about getting a group together. Granted it is a bit late.
This event is a 'get up and get going' format. Capping it at a full field of 36 players allows a foursome on every hole on the first and last courses. The promotion has been light for events after the STLO. We don't even have flyers at the courses for the 9 Hole Iron Man.

I had considered a rolling start at Watson without capping the field. Players would play 9 holes only at WT and drive to the commuter lot; carpool to Kircher > Blue Bird and finish at > Schroeder. There would not be a shuffle of cards at Schroeder because it could not handle a shotgun start. Therefore you play with the same card all day for all four courses. So it helps to play with friends.

With a cap of 36, it is possible to shuffle cards after every round but it does slow down the golf. Some divisions may be able to shuffle cards after each course if they play and travel at relatively the same speed. Those same divisions may also be able to finish at Schroeder before the rest of the field finishes.

I believe we finished in the dark (after 8:30p) last year.

I was reminded that Schroeder is the busiest 9 hole course and getting 2 rounds in before dark may be impossible. I will make the call (with the group's approval) to limit Schroeder to 1 round of 9 holes when we get there. Be advised we may not play 2 rounds at Schroeder.

Jay Baird hit a skip Ace in the first round on hole 8 at Blue Bird (and took the 50/50 too). On the second round he did it again but it chained out. Ace paid out $103 plus $22 for the 50/50 = $125.
No other Aces were hit during the event. BTW, 72 holes were played.
Other CTP winners were;

MA2 -- Tyler Morales -- $22 -- 50/50 WT
MPO -- Justin Bunnell -- $22 -- 50/50 WT
MA1 -- Christian Leick -- $25 -- 50/50 KR
MA1 -- Christian Leick -- $25 -- 50/50 KR
MA2 -- Doug Lee-Sharpe -- $22 -- 50/50 BB
MPO -- Jay Baird -- $22 -- 50/50 BB
MA1 -- Christian Leick -- $25 -- 50/50 SH
MPM -- Tim Sullivan -- $25 -- 50/50 SH
MPO -- Bryan Johnson -- Merchandise -- WT
MPO -- Matt English -- Zanfel -- WT
MA1 -- Mike Waradzyn -- Merchandise -- KR
MPM -- Jerry Barklage -- Zanfel -- KR
MA3 -- Jim Neibling -- Merchandise -- BB
MA1 -- Sean Beaury -- Zanfel -- BB
MA1 -- Sean Beaury -- Merchandise -- SH
