It is the weekend, and if you can, please make sure to try to help to get the STLO ready, please, please, keep your eyes peeled on this amazing website, facebook and on the RCF e-mail blast list and contribute. It will be an absolute necessity to be involved and connected as we navagate these exciting yet turbulent times together. So my friends remember to get your stuff done Saturday if you can, as the THROWDOWN @ THE RIDGE this Sunday will give you the PRE-STLO FINE TUNE experience you will need. SLIK wants to prepare you the player, for the STLO challenges you will encounter.
We have implemented various methods to tighten this course up and increase risk vs reward situations. Water will not be casual
Tall Grass will be OB
Roped off areas will be OB

You will experience a balanced attack of long bomb shots , mid-range tweeners, short/long technical shots will be the norm. You get 36 different tee shots!

The course is set up using a Red White Blue alternating format:
The first round Hole #1 begins with Blue
The second round Hole #1begins with White

So far only one change has been made, No Temp basket on Eleven.

Disc Golfers who are interested in improving their chances at the STLO this year should consider making tomorrows Throw Down at the Ridge their destination. The course is loaded with shots you will use and need in the St. Louis Open. It looks alot like Sioux Passage at times, like Endicott at times, and Rock Spring or even a touch of JB at times too. Quoted just tonight, Eric Hall wondered out loud; "Why they go round callin it "CupCake Ridge"?

Well here are some notes to tip you if you were wondering:

The Par is still 54 - We need your feedback on hole 14 Blue, and 1Blue just to make sure they are not 4's

Drop Zones -
Tee off is OB - Red Tee Pad
Missed Mando - Red Tee Pad

OB
Walking Path - on or over
Water - Shanx Creek & Slik Gorge - Surrounded by water
Hole 1 - the Island

Roped areas
Hole 13 - OB Line runs from 13 Blue Tee Pad down the right side, (thats right pull it and you are OB)
to the tall Grass Behind the basket.
Hole 14 - Tall grass on right, and on left roped of OB. Roped OB 18's fairway
Hole 15 - Roped OB - Behind and Left of the basket
Hole 16 - Roped OB - tall grass area in shanx creek
Hole 17 - Roped OB - Tall grass and 18's fairway
Hole 18 - Rope OB - Tall grass, 18's first 120 feet of fairway, Roped OB behind 18's Basket
Roped OB 14's Fairway.

Put it in the books, thanks to all who came out, and much thanks to the Adv and Int players who would of placed if they would have played in OPEN.

We had fairly good weather only 6 or 7 holes were rained on throughout the tourney.

over 3000 feet of string! we will let ya know when we can do it again!

Scores should be posted some time soon, I posted them in the order of score, then with the names of the division winners and other winnings from CTP's

Loved the alternate pin placements, but muddy tee pads were rough.

Let's do it again outside the rainy season.

Not a big fan of random OB though. I know it helps spread the scored out, but does anyone actually get excited when they see OB lines?
