is there any way to pre reg for this or do we just register when we show up?

I play Rock Springs atleast 4-6 times a week and I must say that the course is playing better than some of the past years. More and more people have been playing the course so it is starting to get broken in. It is much harder to score well at The Rock as compared to a even a month ago due to the growth in vegitation and some cutting down of trees that will have an effect on some OB's (some trees that used to be around the basket on 9 were cut down for example). For anyone who does not get to play The Rock much, I highly recommend playing in this tournament. The guys from So. Ill Chain Gang always produce highly entertaining tournaments! I'm really really looking forward to this one! Not to mention, playing in this tournament provides a couple of competitive rounds at this course before heading into the StL Open.

Peace,

Johnny Lynn

p.s.~ Not 100% sure about the pre-reg situation. I talked to the TD yesterday and I know that they are still working out some kinks in deciding on whether or not the back tees will be used.

Does anyone know if they are planning on use both tee boxes? Last time i was out there about a week ago the blue pads were removed by the parks dept for mowing. Also anything on pre register or a flyer w/ specifics on this toury? Hope this goes smoother than the headache bowls of past.

Cody,
It is a sanctioned PDGA event......that should answer your question about payouts

JBA
The last 2 years they used both concrete and blue pads. It really depends on the will power of the Chaingang to set up the blues.

Blues are only for ADV and Open so.......

Preregistration doesnt occur.......obviously

Headache bowl, the name speaks for itself. If you want it to run smoothly, your in the wrong place. Plus...its the Chaingang, not exactly smooth but the community of players are amazing
