DAMN THE LUCK!! This is the same weekend as the Hollerin' Goatlaw Team Regional Invitational (Traveling Outlaws Southern Regional). Sounds like it will be tough to field a LAKER team.

Sorry guys! If it is of any help, the field both days are being capped at 90 players, so if you just wait a while you will probably be too late to sign up for the C-Tiers anyway. You can just say, "I wanted to play, but the field filled up" or something like that. Kidding aside, you guys shouldn't worry about the C-Tiers...your Outlaw Events kick booty anyways! GO LAKERS!

The spring time is the biggest time for the AMs in our region. 2 C-Tiers STL, BG, GB, and then STL, then Worlds.

I did not have any input on the original scheduling, when I got involved I had 2 choices offered to me for this and the other was Easter weekend. The KY people were trying to get us in on open weekend dates and these were the only 2 offered, sometimes the hardest part is finding camping accommodations for over 50 people for around $10 each for the weekend.
Last year the championship was on the weekend of the Bluebird Series Championship, this year the Southern Outlaw regional is on the RCF C-Tiers weekend and the Outlaw Championship is the same weekend as the St. Charles DGC championships. The Outlaw Championship is having around 75 golfers and guest, so again logistics are tough especially when you are dealing with 8 teams from 6 states. Kind of amazing that we can even pull this off, but it takes a huge amount of behind the scenes work. I have been working on sponsors for the September event since December 2011 and I believe that we are already on the prowl for a site for the 2013 Traveling Outlaw championship.

Is this event not split up between Pros and Ams this year?

That is correct. This year it is a Pro/Am. I know the weather had something to do with it, but we only had 12 or so Pros show up last year. We cap at 90 this year, no matter what the divisional ratios are.

There has been a slight change to the Sunday scheduling. The tournament will start at 9AM instead of 10AM at Sioux Passage. This should help the out of towners get on the road at a decent time.

Registration should be open today in the ProShop. With only 90 spots available per event, I would imagine that these tournaments will hit their cap. Not only is it a good idea to pre-register in order to secure your spot, but you will receive a sweet custom tourney stamped disc and mini for doing so. Let's get this sucker filled up!

As Doh said above, these events WILL be capped at 90 players per day - stop by and secure your spot soon - don't wait until the day of the events...

PM me if you have any problems registering through the Pro Shop- we've made a few changes that should make it a bit easier to use...we've also changed our online processing-fee structure to a flat 3% charge added to your total purchase...hopefully that will make the costs a bit more transparent and easier to understand.
