Please post Date when grass Cut at CC

Postby rondisc on Sun Aug 22, 2010 7:08 pm

We talked about this today. The masses have no idea when CC is cut(grass wise). A lot of us like CC but will not play nor take the chance knowing, we may have to look for every disc we throw outside of putting range. It simply would be nice to have some sort of idea.

It would be a beautiful thing if we could just get a date on the thread each time the grass is mowed.

thanks and peace out :D

Anyone been to CC Lake in the last 5 days to know if the course has been mowed?

The grass is cut at creve. It has been cut all year. They have been mowing fairways all year. If your worried about throwing your disc in tall grass then keep it in the fairway. If you like creve so much then you wouldn't putting up these kind of posts. You would just go play it and not worry about grass that is six inches high.

Well, I've already been since I posted and it was cut.

Six inch grass doesn't bother me. However, I have been there 5 times this year, between March and September, where the grass was over 16 inches high ON THE FAIRWAYS. One day, the grass ON THE FAIRWAYS was 2 full feet tall. I've also been there on days when it was cut just fine. Even if it had been just the fairways that were cut, nobody (especially crappy players like myself who love playing disc golf even though they suck most of the time) throws perfect every time... especially with wind like there is at CC Lake.

I just asked, as did Ron (who is a far, far better throw than I), because we don't want to waste the (now more than ever) precious daylight spending 20 minutes looking for every drive.

Although I'm unsure how much I either like or dislike Creve Coeur Lake DGC plays into my question... I'm sorry for wasting the limited space available for posts at these forums.
