There will be an optional gift exchange. Please try to limit the value of your gift to $25 or less. Please try to donate new or practically new disc golf related merchandise. A beater disc that you pull out of your trunk and wrap in newspaper 5 min before the tournament probably isn't the coolest thing to do, so please try put a little thought into this if you decide to participate. Also, please put your name on a piece of paper INSIDE the package so that the recipient can thank you personally after they stop jumping up and down with excitement!

Looks like another great event to have LAKERland setup for the holidays. Boy, wouldn't it be nice to have a christmas tree and Santa LAKER there, maybe by tee pad #4 this time. Gotta work on this but it sounds like a fun option to have at the course.

I just got the word that SantaLAKER will be there for the event and a tree is lined up, what a great place for the presents to go. Goodies is being worked on for all who visit SantaLAKER during the round, & we are trying to get some hot beverages available in LAKERland such as hot coco, hot coffee, hot tea, and various other body warming drinks when you stop in.
As of now the prediction on the weather is for a 22 degree low and a 35 degree high. I will have to see about whether or not there is the ability for a fire to warm up by, if so I might be able to bring some pallets for fire wood.

I think there is a possibility that it may be gratis, but don't quote me on it. If anything it will only be a couple bucks. But I also wouldn't expect a ton of food - probably just enough to warm you up and get you through til dinner.

BTW, we are looking for a reliable food preperation expert to take over the helm for Jose. He has other responsibilities that are keeping him from doing this for right now. It does require a certain amount of skill/experience in preparing food for a larger amount of people, but it also does allow for a certain amount of profit as well. I think Jose usually offered a solid meal for $5/person, which netted him a little profit to make the effort worth while. Please respond to this thread if you would like to jump in head first for this event. Otherwise, talk to the guys running the event on Saturday if you are interested in filling Jose's shoes...

I was just thinking of lasts years Holly Daze......that was a fun time with great weather! My brother-in-law and I drove from Union going about 40 mph (if that) in 4 wheel drive down the interstate.

Looks like the Headache Bowl at Collinsville will be on a Sunday. Lookin forward to playin in the Holly Daze Tourney! First timer for this event!
