Endicott Open/Global Tourney

Info and Discussion on STLDGC and other St. Louis-area Events

I spoke with PDGA this afternoon with questions regarding divisions and added cash. They replied that normal PDGA guidelines of what constitutes a division, i.e. minimum of 3 players does not apply to this event. They also stated that the added cash of $500 does not have to go to the pro pool especially if there are few pros playing. They suggested we create cash CTPs for the whole field so pros and ams might benefit. The pros would have an advantage in winning these CTPs but everyone would get a shot at them. Steve, Mark and I will work on the details. This event is getting sweeter and sweeter.

I saw what was said about not having enough player packs. Are those of us who did sign up online going to be guaranteed one. I've seen this happen before.

We have ordered 60 player's packs so there will be enough for the first 60 Am players. Tom, we got you covered.
The event is capped at 72 total players.

41 players have pre-registered of which 9 are pros. There are 31 spots left. Tee off is 11a. Registration ends at 10a. Please arrive by 9:30a to check in, collect your player's pack materials, warm up and/or play side games.
Player's meeting at 10:30a

For the spectators and news crews, Nikko Locastro will be playing this event as well as George Smith, Bryan Johnson, Jerry Barklage, Don Mollenbeck and Bob Waidmann. Please be courteous and stay out of their line of vision while they are throwing. Ask permission to take action shots or take them from a distance so the camera shutter is out of earshot. Do not talk while players are on the tee box or setting up a shot on the course. Thankyou in advance. One other thing; you will witness some of the best shot making skills on the planet. It's OK to get excited.

I want to thank Steve Hoog for stepping up and taking this on. When you see him, please extend your thanks as well.
It is volunteers such as Steve that make it easier for the rest of us.

Just the few pics I took on my phone. Some are OK, some not so great. But, so it is.

And, of course, Jim Misuraca, Nikko Locastro, and George Smith, who won their divisions globally, have their entry fees for the PDGA Championships covered. That's next month at the IDGC in Appling, GA.
For finishing 3rd, Aaron Walther has the same deal. Very sweet, courtesy of the PDGA.

Congrats to Clifford Rush III, Chris Gore, Eric Hall, and Derek Green for qualifying for the USDGC!
