i played a round out at highland today and there were no signs mentioning anything about the course being closed. there were a lot of other groups out there too. i also talked to jeff this morning, and he said he hadn't heard anything about the course being closed, and the pavilion rental is already paid for. there were fliers on some of the tee signs for the tournament next sunday, $15 entry fee, 2 rounds with lunch provided. tournament starts at 10, so registration ends at 9:30 with a players meeting at 9:45.

Sounds like the LAKERS will then be able to make the Silver Cup event this Sunday June 12, 2011. Since signup is until 09:30, we will be there around 9 LAKER time.

Local Directions: I-70 to IL-143 exit (exit 24 if traveling west). Head east on 143 for 2.8 miles to a left on Highland Park Rd. Turn right at the fork and follow road around .5 miles to the back of the park and the first tee.

Played a round here on 8/21/11, while I'd seen the course a few other times, I was reminded of how great this course is!! Anyone who hasn't seen it yet, it's WELL worth the trip. BUT, I'd like to know who changed the tee for hole # 11??? While I understand why it was done, the new tee sucks royally, to put it mildly! As a matter of fact, we disliked it so much we went back to where it used to be, & threw from there. Other than that, the course looks great & was a lot of fun to play!

Did basket #13 still have the wasp nest inside the center pole? When the LAKERS played there a few weeks ago, the wasp were livid every time we chained & hit pole. They got Steve K. on the elbow upon disc retrieval.

Uhh.....no, we didn't notice any wasps around when we played hole # 13. Now.....I did throw a BUZZZ on the next hole, but my Wasp stayed in the bag on # 13........sorry, that was lame, I know.

i was out there about a week and a half ago and experienced the wasps inside of the pole on hole 13. i was out there a few days later and didn't notice them though. i'd beware that basket though, if you're within gimme range it's not worth stirring them up.

sleeves for b placements are in the ground and the tees for holes 13 and 15 have been moved. both holes play longer now. no idea how soon the baskets will start appearing in b placements but i'm looking forward to it.
