i stopped by yesterday on my way to dubs in collinsville and saw the tee signs and sleeves and was hoping the baskets might get dropped today. somebody was saying that the sleeves got poured on saturday. i think i'm gonna try to head out there around 1 or 2 this afternoon if anybody wants to meet up for a round. send me a pm and i can get you my phone number.

so the baskets got put in yesterday...managed to play the front 9 before the rain got to be too cold and wet. normally the collinsville club does their cash random draw doubles at alton the first sunday at the month, but i think i'll probably play at highland on sunday just because it's less of a drive for me. i think it'd be fun to get a decent sized group out there and check it out if anybody would be interested.

If the course isn't too sloppy I'll probably go out there Saturday for a round.

New Frisbee golf course to open at Capaha in May2011

Postby emptv on Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:18 pm

Disc Up Dave and Jen,
http://www.semissourian.com/story/1719739.html
This will take you to a story about a new course in Cape Girardeau, getting on your neck of the woods. The city of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri State University have partnered to install a $10,000 disc golf course, that is expected to open at Capaha Park within the next three weeks. The 10-hole course will run the perimeter of Capaha Park and will be about 1,670 yards in walking distance.

Grow, baby, grow.

Capaha is a very nice park, and there should be more room for more holes if I remember correctly. Its been a long time since I have been to Cape Girardeau, but I have lots of friends down that way. No idea how many are disc golfers, but I would imagine we could convert at least some of them.

Hello all,

I've been away from the STL for about 9 months now. I was just wondering if any of these new courses in the bistate area have been finished. The last new one I played was Lindenwood.

Disc Up,
The LAKERS have not gone to Desoto or Cape yet, though Cape is on the map for the end of June, but the rest of the courses are good to go. :D

Any word on this Desoto course? Nothing about it being opened yet on the Desoto parks page. Any visual confirmation out there?

You don't quit playing games because you get old.
