Quail Ridge 2011 Summer League

Tuesday evenings May 31st to July 19th
Cards will begin going out at 4:00. Last card out at 5:45 (Will be extended to 6:00 as daylight permits).

$50 per team
All skill levels welcome
Teams will be flighted after a few weeks
You will compete against your own skill level
FIELD WILL BE LIMITED TO 54 TEAMS

Pick your own partner doubles.
8 week session.
Both partners must be able to make it for at least 4 weeks.
Cali style can be played for 4 weeks.
*If only one team member can show up you are able to play cali style. You get one mulligan per hole to make up for playing by yourself.

Each teams worst 2 weekly scores will be dropped

All weeks will be played from the Red (Concrete) tee pads.

Weekly CTP.

Optional ace pool.
You must pay $1 every week to be eligible that week.
Ace pool will carry over every week if no aces are hit.

Cash and/or prizes at the end of the league for all flights.

Party on the final night of league to include food and beverages.

Tentitive courses for summer league, no certain order:

8 weeks of play
4 different courses
play all 4 courses 2 times

"A" course (original course)
"B" course (B placements)
shortest course
longest course

** Please note that there are a few reasons that the baskets will be moving every week..
A) try to promote a more level playing field for all skill levels
B) Quail Ridge is played by a very large number of golfers and the areas around the baskets are get pounded down hard. so if we move baskets every week the course will grow back quicker.
just not moving the baskests for league, they are moving for course management.

Hole 13 will not be open yet, still waiting on parks dept to reseed .
will be throwing the temp hole again, with 3 or 4 sets of tees from path behind the restroom .

I'm in. Hopefully so is Matt but not sure yet. He starts a new job on Friday so he isn't sure if he can get Tuesdays off. If he can't, I will be looking for a partner. Will keep you posted.

Summer league format as follows:

WEEK 1... "A" course the original
WEEK 2... "B" course.. B pins
WEEK 3... "short" course,..shortest pins
WEEK 4... "long" course..longest pins
WEEK 5... "B" course
WEEK 6... "long" course
WEEK 7... "A" course
WEEK 8... "short" course

Since Hole 13 is still closed even though SOME of the grass is cut. parks dept. wants to try and get more grass growing before opening.
We are going to play Hole 13 the same as spring league, from behind the restroom , teeing off the path as marked .. 1, 2 or 3 and with flags.
Now with that said this hole will be tricky at times and EVERONE will need to watch for people on the path coming around the corner, and casuals trying to play from the parking lot.
play the temp hole as hole 13, walk from 12 to the tee on temp 13 to practice basket, then on to hole 14 .

Hole 16 OB over White fence on right of fairway
Hole 17 (NEW)mando.. dog leg left of telephone pole
if you miss the Mando do 1 of 2 :
a) unwind and go past mando correctly, OR
b) re-tee and take penalty stroke
