What about alternate basket and tee locations?

We should keep those things in mind before finalizing the signs.

For now, we should just print up a few maps of the course and save our time and money for when it is needed most.

Personally, I'm voting to keep a natural feel at Unger. I like the chat tee pads (like the whites at Collinsville) and wooden tee signs.
Here is the thing about beavers, they are only interested in fresh wood. You'll notice that even with all the down trees, they decide to chew on live ones... The wooden signs will be fine as the wood is already treated and would be stained as well.
I really like some of the tee signs posted by starfire and would like to look into those for Sioux (it is our most pristine course) and something different at the rest of the courses. Each course here is unique in its own way and should be enhanced by whatever else we put in there, tee signs, benches, etc.
I'm not a big fan of doing the same thing at every course. I think that we need to give each course more character and we can do that by giving them a different look through tee signs and benches among other things...

The parks system in the past has wanted all the courses to be the same as Chris mentioned above. I like concrete tee pads and the plastic signs that the parks will do for us for free.

Free is good. Then if they float away our loss is Nil. And if the beavers decide they want to put a course on the island and steal the rest, no big deal.

With budget cut backs, the parks dept will no longer do the signs for free...

Innova CFR program would work for this as well...Unger Lake Park *2009 Fundraiser Disc*.

That would bring in some extra cash. From me at least...

At the rate everybody is going we ought to look into getting some CFR dragons and hydras made. Or get somebody on the ball with producing a disc with arm floaties built in.

Saturday 6.20.09 is the day we set aside for the tee pad fundraiser at Unger. I already have the wood for the tee signs, we just need to determine where the final placement of the pads and get final measurements. That is also when I'd like to add B & C placements to some holes. The tourney will be $10 or $15 a person with little-no payout. We'll probably just do 1-3rd plaques and put the rest of the money toward tee pads.

I'd like to see one behind 18 at the edge of the road for B and across the street for C...

Yeah, hole #14 definitely needs a couple of longer pin placements!!!
