I am in for Feb's ring of fire but it does not look like enough posts will make it to qualify . Oh well maybe next month we can get the word out so more get involved.

I still have not seen anywhere in this site that explains the March Madness in detail. Most info has come from players and not officials. If this info is out there and I am missing it, let me know where to find it. I will still be there in the morning.

What is Match Play? Most events are "stroke play" -- you play 18 holes and tally your score. "Match play" is a head-to-head format in which the golfer with the lower score on a hole wins that hole and gets 1 point (it doesn't matter how many strokes he wins the hole by). If the golfers tie, they "halve" the hole and no one gets a point. The match ends when one golfer is up by more holes than there are holes remaining.
