If you are not going to Columbia, MO to play Roller Doubles @ Albert Oakland tomorrow; the Jefferson Barracks Nooner has $200 added to the ace pool courtesy of Brad Fortman. Brad sold the basket he won at the Club Championships back to the club and is giving $200 in cash to the Nooner Ace Pool! We will likely have 10 cash CTPs but the final decision will be revealed at Tee Time. Please arrive in plenty of time to practice before 11:30a when the teams will be randomly picked. This is a great opportunity to meet some of the members of the club w/o a worry if you are good enough to play with us. The cost is $5 plus $2 (normally $1) for the ace pool.
White Birch Park is the first disc golf course in St Louis and was designed / installed by ‘Steady’ Ed Headrick in the mid 70’s. In 1981, the first league began and Dale Woltering was there. It seems Dale has not missed a single league in nearly 30 years. Cale Ripken would be proud. The City of Hazelwood is celebrating this feat of longevity with a party for Dale on Wed, Dec 1st @ 7:30p. The party will continue from the Hazelwood City Hall to Mattingly’s. For more details call Bob Waidmann @ 314-307-2187. Mark your calendars and come celebrate with our own ‘Iron Man’, Dale Woltering!
For those of you, who have not yet renewed for 2011, please consider signing up with the club tomorrow. The RCF is in partnership with the City of Bridgeton to install a 36 hole golf course and we are raising money through our memberships to help pay for it. The club is also exploring new courses in Carondelet, Forest Park and St Charles County. We doubled in size last year, 2010, from 251 documented members to 557 documented members. For 2011, we have signed up 280 members in 6 short weeks. Our goal is 1000 members by the Club Championships next October. Please renew / join us this year; we need you more than ever to accomplish both milestones.
