Disc Up LAKERS,
A half dozen, or maybe 6, LAKERS took the road trip to St. Gen. and played the 9 hole course twice. Always a beautiful course and this time there was a new hazard, a pond that was dry last time by hole #1 had retained water, adding a new dimension. Of course there was a splash down on the first throw, way to go Tiny e! The course is so nice that we only changed 1 tee pad for the 2nd time around. Afterwards a hot meal of pulled pork and Cole slaw was served up by Dave and Jen G., y’all rock. The food alone was enough to make the trip worthwhile, but getting to hang with Dave, Jen, and Boris while getting to play disc golf in sunny 80 degree weather was ubergreat. The LAKER lunch (always served up free) is getting to be a regular bonus, maybe you should come out on Sundays and see what will be served up next.

Results:
Overall winner for $6 is scorekeeper.

Disc Up LAKERS,
It was a windy and gray day when 8 LAKERS went to college and cleaned up the course. I believe that we had 5 go into the H2O and retrieved 3 plus found 1more (orange dragon). The rain stayed away and we completed the round before darkness could chase us away. The course looked better than last time, not as much garbage, all tee pads have been at least marked, and all baskets including #3 are in the ground. We saw a few casual players on the course but not much of anyone else. It was after the students were yelling things out the windows and watching when Francis was on #17’s pad. He launched a shot short and right of the pin that hit hard on edge. The ensuing skip accompanied by the strong right to left wind lifted the disc directly into the sweet spot on the chains for a hole in one as one of the LAKERS called out “skip ace” before it skipped! Needless to say, nary a peep was heard from the awestruck students in the dorm windows after that superb ace, probably the most exciting thing they have seen on the course all year. WAY TO GO, SCOREKEEPER!

Results:
A Hole-n-1 was hit by scorekeeper on #17.
The overall winner for $8 was scorekeeper.

Disc Up LAKERS,
Tuesday March 29, 2011 @ 5pm we will be having another round at Creve Coeur. We will be attempting to get this round in before the next batch of rain/snow comes in. Gotta love the St. Louis area weather!! Come on out and enjoy all of the scenery that this great course has to offer.

That is great information, been missing you at the courses (but watch that popping up stuff).... Works out mighty fine for you as next Tuesday, April 12, 2011 will be @ Hazelwood, which is pretty close to your sphere of influence.

There will be no LL this Sunday. The Mike Bemmis Memorial is going on in Alton and we do not want to take away any potential golfers (or lose any for this weekend). Have fun @ Alton, I will be offering up help if it is needed.

Tuesday April 19, 2011 will be a round at Sioux, 5 pm tee pad #1. Don’t be scared off because of the awesomeness of this course and this is one of the last chances to practice this course before the open.

Results: Only 9 holes got played before the storm rolled in. We will redo Sioux again this coming Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 5pm, starting on tee pad #10. This time I will bring my waterwings.
