The clock on the message board is 5 hrs off exactly.

This may be a stupid question, but did you set up your timezone preference in your profile to be Central standard time? All these PHPBB boards default to GMT.

Go to “User control panel,” the select “Board preferences,” then “My timezone:” and set it to [UTC-6] Central standard time. Make sure “Summer Time/DST is in effect:” is set to no. Your clock should be correct then.
