3 Man Battle Royale - SCCDGC - March 16th

Here's our next event. Ace pool currently sits at $260. The only change to the event this year is rather then charge $5/man for lunch I just increased the fee per team by $10 and lunch and drinks will be included.

I got a buddy coming into town who doesn't have partners. Will there be other singles he can team up with? Is there anyone looking for a partner? He is an ameteur.

I just saw someone post on our facebook page this morning looking for a partner. He's the only one I know of right now. He is an amateur player. I can put you in touch with him if you'd like. It's usually hit or miss if there are others looking for a partner the morning of the event, so I wouldn't count on it.

For anyone else heading out please give me a heads up. This event did fill last year with 2 extra holes added and as of right now I'm not planning on adding any extra holes this year.

Is it expected that everyone who shows up that morning will be able to participate? I remember last year I wasn't able to get in because pre registration had already filled all the cards.

I'd imagine an event that filled last year will probably fill this year too. Only way to guarantee you get in is to pay in advance.

I'm very easy on the pre-registrations. I don't expect any money up front. All I ask is you give me your names. I realize some people will register and not give the courtesy of a heads up the morning of that they will not show up. There are others though that won't pre-register that still come...it usually evens out. Just give me your teams names and I'll hold you a spot. I would appreciate a phone call, email, text, whatever if you realize you won't be able to make it.

I do put a cap on the field for a reason. I don't think a tournament should last longer then 4:00 or so. Last year with the 2 extra holes it was probably close to 5:00 before I had everyone on the road. That is too late for me and is why I won't be adding the extra holes this year. Once you start going over a certain limit of players you end up playing til it gets dark...I won't do that.

So it's pretty simple, just post your names or get in touch with me. I will hold you a spot.

Thanks to everyone for making it out! Also need to thank a few other people. Derek Green came out to play the first round if there happened to be an odd # of teams. Luckily that didn’t happen. Doug McCormick came out to help cook lunch and did the scoring between rounds. Bryan Barklage supplied the ice as usual and saved us quite a bit of money. Jim Nelms does what he always does and helps in every way possible. Thank you everyone!
