The field is capped at 72 players. That is 36 for the PRO division and 36 for the AM division. Any more than this and there are simply too many rounds to get in, especially in the summer heat. I will make another post after this that will have the Pre-Registration List. Once we get up to 36 pre-registrations, I will start a Wait-List. You can get on the Pre-Registration List by stating your intentions on this discussion thread. Submit a reply and secure your spot...

This will be done in a March Madness style. The "East" will be the PRO side, and the "West" will be the AM side, if that makes sense. The only difference is that it is a double elimination scenario so that everyone gets to play at least 2 matches before they are done for the day.

I'm not playing but just curious... why would you cap the field at 72 and not 64? Are some players getting byes?

I agree with dave, it will be very difficult to draw up a bracket with 72 people. i understand you probably did it so you would have 2 people on each hole but that means 8 people will have to have to play in a 'play-in' round.
