I have secured a new sponsor for the St. Charles County Club. It is North American Breweries and they will be supplying a keg of beer along with other merchandise free of charge for many events including the club champs. There won't be any merchandise for free at the club champs due to the rep being out of town, but you can't beat a keg of FREE BEER!

Here is a new flyer for the Club Championships. Nothing has changed from the first one other then I do have on this that a keg of beer is included. I mostly wanted to redo it because my first one sucked and also wanted to show off the new club logo. This flyer isn't all that great, but didn't have much time to spend on it. A huge thanks to Daniel Doss (stubbornpuppet) for creating a new logo for us at the last minute. It is very much appreciated by all of us!

A few quick notes on the club champs tomorrow.

It looks like it will be wet out. Be sure to bring the rain gear and a dry set of clothes. Since there is no payout I’d be fine playing only one round, but I’ll leave it up to the players to decide.

We were going to use shelter # 2, but the parks dept won’t open up the bathrooms there since it has already been winterized. We are going to move to shelter # 1 in order to have the bathrooms available.

I wanted to move some of the baskets, but with the threat of rain they are almost all short to try and get you guys done playing as quick as possible.

We do have a decent line up of events for next year and there will now be an ongoing ace pool for club members. Most of the events will have the ace pool included in the entry fee. Others such as the 2 glow events run on behalf of the parks dept will have an additional $1 charge for the ace pool open only to club members. I’m going to do the payout as I have for league previously which is:
$0-100 = 50%
$101-200 = 60%
$201-300 = 70%
$301-400 = 80%
$400+ = 90%

That should be about it. We are going to have 3 kinds of chili, plenty of drinks and a keg of beer. I haven’t seen the new tags yet, but I’ve been told they look great.

I’ll see everyone out there tomorrow.

It’s been a busy weekend, so a little late in posting this.

My goal for this event was to net $10 per player. There were 41 players who paid the $25 for the day. An additional 7 came by to sign up for $20, but that will be kept separate.

A very big thanks to Shane Chesher for providing the chili, Bryan Barklage for hooking us up with tons of ice, TC Brown for providing some merchandise for CTP’s and Jim Nelms for running around picking everything up. It’s very much appreciated!

I should have the order correct for the top 9, but anything after that I’m not sure who won the ties.

There were 2 aces hit. Jeree Mitts hit hole # 13 the first round and Corey Campbell hit hole # 2 the second round. Ace pool started at $41 and paid out 50%. Each ace was paid $10 with $21 carrying over to the next event.

There were CTP’s on holes 1-9 on the first round only. Each one consisted of a $5 voucher or $4 cash, T-shirt, candy bar and a razor. Below are the winners:
1. Damon Galmiche
2. David Wilson
3. Jerry Barklage
4. Lee Gibson
5. Scott Pryor
6. Lee Gibson
7. Mikey Sherman
8. Kenny Barklage
9. Zak Stroup

Below are the financials:
41 players @ $25 each = $1025
Ace pool = $41
Shelter Rental = $40
Tags – 41 @ $3.25 each = $133.25
Food and Drinks = $45
Vouchers valued @ $8 cash = $328
CTP’s = $36
Chili = Free
Keg of Beer = Free
Subtract all of that from the starting $1025 and it equals $401.75.
Mark Kane donated his voucher money back bringing the total to $409.75.
My goal was to net $410, so I was only 25 cents off!
