Having played this already in Rolla last month, I'll just throw in that I really liked the disc. I look forward to adding it to my bag when it's finally approved.

Of course, as with all discs, your mileage may vary.

Yes, I've heard good things about the ace race disc......when we were up in Effingham for a tournament a couple of weeks ago, I was told by someone up there how well the disc flies. Can't wait to throw it myself & see!

So, for those who played in this, how did you all like the disc?

I had a hard time getting a feel for the disc, but I think the main reason why is because I got stuck with REALLY heavy ones---- one was 182g, the other 183g! I just haven't & don't throw discs that heavy, I wanted something around 174, 175g. It did hold a line pretty well, & it felt really good when I threw it for putts. Bottom line, it might be a great putter inside of 35 ft., but I struggled with it on longer shots.......

As is always the case with the Discraft Ace Race, the discs used are new, prototype discs that have not been submitted to the PDGA for approval yet NOR have they even been given an actual name yet. This year the disc is a bigger diameter putter with no bead on the bottom, it does have a nice feel to it.......

I never new that. That's actually a really good way to get feed back on new plastic.
Thanks for the info.

The last two years Ace Race discs got enough good feedback that Discraft put those discs into regular production......two years ago, the Focus putter (which I thought was pretty much a Wizard ripoff), & last year, the Hornet midrange. It remains to be seen if that happens with this years' disc.......
