Lindenwood Open - SCCDGC - May 18

Postby magic on Fri Apr 26, 2013 12:05 pm

We had to switch the dates for two events due to Indian Camp Creek not being open yet. The baskets for that course have been ordered, but not yet shipped. It would have been pushing it to have everything open in time. It was easier to just switch the dates, so here is our next event.

We are going to run things similar to how we did the Crusade with a set range of ratings for each amateur division. I'll get those posted once a few people have registered.

The ace pool is up to $373 and there will be many chances to hit it.

Lindenwood Open - SCCDGC - May 18

Disc up,
With no lunch being served, would you like LAKERland to set up somewhere and dish up the usual surprises? I do have alumni status for Lindenwood, if that makes any difference. I could easily get together a nice little setup by then. Let me know, heck, come out to Sioux this Sunday 4-28-13, discuss what you want brought, help clear the 2nd course, & see what the LAKERS can do to help make the Lindenwood Open more fun!

8-)

Bruce, I'll have to run it by TC to get his thoughts. I don't see any issues with it, but it's TC's call on anything that happens at the course that day. I'll let you know what I can find out. I'm sure being an alumni would help.

Just giving this a bump and reminding everyone that we will not be providing lunch. If you don't pack a lunch you will have time to run and grab a bite to eat. There are plenty of fast food joints close to the course. We will have plenty of water available to drink. It looks like the weather should be great.

TC Brown has been doing a bit of work this week to get the course ready. Looks like it's nicely mowed also. He's set up a few alt tee pads as well to mix things up a bit. Thanks TC! Ace pool should pay out around $400 with lots of opportunities.

Thanks to everyone for making it out! A big thanks to TC Brown for arranging everything, setting up the course and everything else you did. I agree that things ran well. Thanks to everyone else who helped with the scores.

There was $54 paid into the ace pool to bring the total to $427. Gary Suarez hit an ace on his first shot on hole # 5. Ace pool pays out $383 with $44 carrying over to the next event. I looked at that hole twice and still don’t know how Gary hit an ace there…nice shot!

TC donated a lot of shirts for the CTP’s. Below are the winners.
1 – Ryan Brown
2 – Gary Gentry
3 – Kenny Barklage
4 – Harley Nolan
5 – Gary Suarez (ACE!)
6 – Gary Suarez
7 – Michael Allison
8 – Corey McPhesron
9 – Tim Conley
10 – Ryan Brown
11 – Craig Van Ness
12 – Tomas Briscoe
13 – Stephen Schelp
14 – Jeree Mitts
15 – Kyle Whitaker
16 – Jamie Cassidy
17 – Joe Bryson
18 – Scott Paul

I'll post all of the financials in the next day or so. I wanted to get the scores up ASAP, but don't have time for everything else right now.
