current course conditions?

anyone know the condition out @ west city right now, particularly the 'flood'-prone holes? thinking of heading out somewhere a bit further afield than the usual suspects (JB, Unger, Endy) this monday for a round or two, but was hoping for some insight into the condition before choosing btwn west city, alton, and sioux.

as per the original question, i can't imagine the course conditions being bad. 6 or 7 days of no rain should be plenty of time for the creek to drain, along with 3/4/5/6/15/16/17's fairways.

I just came from West City Park and holes 3 and 4 are flooded and unplayable. 12:15pm Monday November 9 2009.

thanks for the first-hand info, dave...glad we decided to play it safe and stick closer to home yesterday!

and, to REDARMY, thanks for the guesswork, but i suppose you can see now why i wanted someone who actually knew what the course conditions were.

i know i typed this in a thread re: unger already, but it would be great if the course captains for parks that have intermittent or temporary flooding/closure/playability issues could get that info posted online for all to see as soon as they are aware of the situation. it might help those of us who are a bit less connected to the local scene, but are still avid golfers interested in hitting a variety of area courses, make more informed decisions.

no boat rocking or feather ruffling intended.

bringing this thread back to life to see if anyone can tell me what the course is looking like right now- a group of us is considering heading down south on sunday to play this beauty/beast, but i'd like to be confident that the course is in playable/conducive condition before making the trek.

played tuesday grass was freshly cut didn't rain to much there last night so i dought the lakes/river is up.

well worth the drive, if your driving down there jockers is a blast too 9 hole mostly par 3s noy 5 min. from west city
