WHO WANTS TO HELP?

We will have a work day Saturday August 1st. Food is always supplied to volunteers. We have all the tools and material that we need. What we do need is helping hands. We are going to form up the rest of the pads so that all the holes have concrete tee pads.There is 8 pads that need dug and formed. The lower field is dry and we need to take advantage of this. The week after we get the pads formed we will pour, during the week. This is harder for volunteers to make it, but help is always appreciated.

We need to see about Hole 4 and what we can do with that. The red tee should be relatively close to the blue tee, so people can find the two easily. It would suck to have all but one or two pads done. Let's get 'em all done!

I say to have move the red and blue tees out in the trees. Adrian, you had mentioned it, after making temporary placements there while we had high water, it makes sense to move them. It will be a small hike from 3's basket to 4's pads. But, the course will more playable in high water.

Or, we pour the regular pads and anytime we have high water we set up temporary tee boxes.

Just checked your post and unfortunately we dug the red and blue pads in the original placement. There was Trav, Don, and Rita as volunteers Saturday (Hope your dad is doing well). We just decided to place them in the original placement and if it floods we will set up temporary flags out in the trees. I don't think we can get the parks department to cut more than we are getting them to cut now.

If popular opinion wants to move them into the trees this can still be done.

IT RAINED IT'S ASS OFF

We did manage to get the pads for 8 and 4 dug and set. If popular opinion is to move 4 out in the trees, then that can still be done. We still need to dig the pads for 5 and 6. The boards are out in the field for 5 and one set of forms is in the field for hole 6. The original plan was to pour on Friday. The weather did not cooperate this weekend for us to get all the pads dug and set. We will play it by ear to see if we can pour on Friday. If anyone has free time to dig and set the remaining forms please call me and we will get something worked out.

on 4 do you want to move it to the left in the trees? or are you talkin about the tall weedy stuff to the right? i think to the left would be a great place and hopefully with less posibilty of ever having standing water over the pad

Rumor has it that the grass is pretty tall at West City. The Traveling Laker League will be down on Sunday August 9, 2009 and we just are wondering if we will be playing safari golf. Hopefully it is a reasonable height, but we can play with it high.
