Work day at unger on sunday was ok . Brad Doug Roger and myself worked for about 5 hours.
We worked on hole 5 and cleaned up all of the brush on the fairway. Then we cleared the green on hole 3.
This course needs alot of attention From all of our members. Even if you can only go out for a little while after work or on the weekend for a few hours. with alittle help we can get this course up and running.

Thanks to Brad, Mark Doug and Roger for showing up on Sunday and helping Unger along the way. Hopefully the next work day we organize there are more people in town to help out. We appreciate all the work you've done out at Unger and we look forward to getting this course in.

The workday scheduled for 12-06-08 for JB is going to be held for Unger.
I think there are only a few holes left to do.
Once they are done we can start doing pins and signs.

This place is coming along nicely. Dave is supposed to meet with the parks dept. to let them know where to mow. Brad finished cutting up the trees on 17 that were laying across the fairway at about 450'.
All told there were about a dozen people that showed up. Hopefully next sunday we put some pins in the ground. Maddisc

Dave and I met with Rick Taylor, our contact at Unger, on Tuesday. We went over the grass areas that need to be cut and walked a majority of the course with the guys from StL co. Parks. These are the guys that we'll see out there from the parks dept. cutting grass etc. their names are Rick and Donald so give them a wave when you see them.
Brad Fortman got even more areas cleared for lawnmower access with his chainsaw
Jim Lucas, Tim Lewis and I worked the auger and drilled the holes for the baskets.
Sunday 12.14.09 Work Day
This will be the last workday before we get baskets in the ground. We'll need some help doing some final clearing but a majority of the time we'll be sinking the sleeves in concrete and defining tee off areas.
We'd appreciate if anyone has any of the following we could use on Sunday...

stump grinder
wood chipper

jeff (i'm assuming?), did you happen to parse the thread about the jokerst/west city/unger plan i set-up in the west city forum?

i've got a rake and handsaw i can contribute to the cause, but if we end up tying together the jokerst/west city deal and the unger workday (and get the word out now), that could lead to more hands/equiptment available to ease the process along.
