For anyone interested, below is a listing of all aces hit in league since I started running it (2006). It was only last year that I started keeping track of the date and amount. Hole # 11 of course has been hit the most. I would say the most surprising thing is that hole # 1 has never been hit. The only other holes to never have been aced in league are 4, 9 and 18.

    2 Brian Moskop
    2 Simon Hart 08/04/2009 $85
    2 Steve Light 09/08/2009 $167

    Link,

Mind letting us win the ace pool every once in a while? I feel like I'm funding your retirement :D

PS - only 2 smiley faces in your last message? I'm disappointed.

Just out of curiousity, Andy. With theese scores, 197 Terry Huskey / Matt Huskey 48 53 50 50 50 49, and having 2 drop weeks taken out, what if we had a bad round in the last 2 weeks? Would we be stuck with that score? Obviously you dropped the 53 and one of the 50's. What would happen if we got a 52? The drop weeks kinda confuse me being taken out before the end of the session. Just looking for clarification, not complaining. Matt and I are doing better than we did in Fall league and I'm sure we will improve a bit more in Summer as we get more team playing in. Thanks a bunch for everything you do for this league, and the park. It is most appreciated.

On a side note: The guys that I normally throw with think I'm a little wierd because I won't throw my cigarette butts on the ground. I keep them in my bag until I get to a trash can. I also make sure that if there is trash on the ground, I pick it up until I get to the next can. My buddy and I also look in the trash can for aluminum cans and put them in the recycle can. I'm sure the money from the cans goes back into the park but does it go to the disc golf course or a general fund? Once again, just curious.

Thanks for buying a few of those discs Charlie. It looks like we will actually be putting that money to use soon. I’ll get some details posted once we know more.

OK Terry, I’ll try to answer your question and hopefully I don’t confuse you even more. If you were to completely miss the final 2 weeks your final score would be a 300. You would just add up the scores for the first 6 weeks for the total of 300. If you were to shoot a 53 or worse each of the last 2 weeks your total would still be a 300. If you shoot 52’s the last 2 weeks that would only drop your total by 1 stroke to a 299. A pair of 51’s drops it one more stroke to a 298 and a pair of 50’s would drop it another to a 297. It’s when you get to 49’s or better where it would drop it more then one stroke. You basically need to shoot 52 or better to make a difference in your final score. If you have Excel on your computer give me your email and I can send you the file to show exactly what happens when you put different scores in.

And thanks for not throwing your butts on the ground. I put mine in my bag also which might stink it up a bit, but it helps in keeping the course clean. There are a lot of guys at QR that clean up litter when they come across it. Everyone doing a little when they can really helps out. The money from the aluminum cans does go to a general fund.

Thanks for explaining, Andy. :? You can use thuskey2@centurytel.net to send me that excel file. I believe that if you leave the park cleaner than when you got there, you make a difference.
