Familes, organizations, and individuals can participate by calling Wentzville Parks and Recreation at (636) 332-9236 to register. Registration is free, and volunteers who register before March 13 will receive a free OPERATION CLEAN STREAM T-SHIRT. In Wentzville, volunteers will meet at Quail Ridge County Park at 8:30 am.
OPERATION CLEAN STREAM will provide trash bags, gloves, and site maps. Long pants, boots, or some type of sturdy shoes are recommended for your safety. Please no sandals or flip-flops!
Clean-up activities will take place from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Following this clean-up effort, everyone will return to Quail Ridge County Park for a picnic lunch until 12:30 pm.
Local artists will be on-site welding pieces of collected metal trash into works of art for the STREAM TRASH ART PROJECT. Pieces created from last year will be on display at Wentzville City Hall March 2 through 6, and at Progress Park from March 9 through 13.
In the event of severe weather/rain, this clean-up effort will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 4, unless you are going to Bowling Green, Kentucky, so lets hope for NO RAIN ON MARCH 28TH!!!!
If you would like to give back to the community, help the environment, and while doing so, show the world (or at least this small part of it, anyway) that disc golfers are AWESOME PEOPLE, please be sure to register in advance, so you can get your KILLER NEW T-SHIRT, TOO!!!!
Thank you, and I hope you all can find it in your hearts to attend this worthy experience....
