The Battle at the Barracks '10 Week 5

A couple of last minute changes have been made to the league.

Due to the fact that the last week of league will also include a Dudenhoeffer BBQ and awards ceremony, we are only going to be able to play 9 holes of golf. Since it will only be 9 holes, that week's score will automatically have to count towards your overall total. You will not be able to use that score as one of your drop weeks. This means that your overall total will be your best 4 scores out of the full 6 weeks plus the score from the 9-hole Week 7. I apologize if this puts a hamper on your comeback plans, but this seems to be the only solution I can come up with. As you can probably figure out, this also means that you need to make sure that you can make it that week if you are in the hunt for an overall prize.

Since we are only going to play 9 holes on Week 7, everyone will get 2 drives on every hole. You can hit metal more than once, but you will only be allowed to score 1 birdie. You will drive twice and then putt once from your closest disc. Possible scores as follows:

100 pts. - 2 ACES
85 pts. - 1 ACE + 1 METAL + 1 BIRDIE
75 pts. - 1 ACE + 1 METAL
60 pts. - 1 ACE + 1 BIRDIE
60 pts. - 2 METALS + 1 BIRDIE
50 pts. - 1 ACE
50 pts. - 2 METALS
35 pts. - 1 METAL + 1 BIRDIE
25 pts. - 1 METAL
10 pts. - 1 BIRDIE

Sunset time next week is 6:08 PM. This means that the last card will go out no later than 4:20 PM.

The Battle at the Barracks '10 Final Results

Here are some stats, numbers, and nonsense for you to look at.

Congratulations to Tom Murdick - Overall Winner! He scored a total of 990 pts. One birdie away from the G! Maybe next year! Without the drop weeks, he would have completely smoked the field. Either way, he ended up being the convincing winner.

A big thank you goes out to everyone that participated in any of the JB 2010 leagues. I had fun taking care of the business side, and everyone kept the controversies to an all time low. Now it is time for me to take a break...
