4/21/12: The STLDGC Asks for Your Help with Course Improvements!
With the St. Louis Open coming soon and Earth Day upon us, the St. Louis Disc Golf Club wants to encourage its membership, and other local DG-enthusiasts, to help us keep our parks clean and to help improve our local Courses. We’re scheduling work days and clean up efforts over the next 2 weeks (see info/schedule below) and would appreciate all the help and participation we can get, but everyone can pitch in by bringing a trash sack or two with you to your “home course” the next time you play a round. See some trash? Pick it Up. It’s really as simple as that- we all need to work together to ensure that our Parks are clean year round, and it would be particularly nice to “show off” our Courses at the Open while they’re looking their best…Come out and help your local course shine!

4/1/12: Monthly Letter from the RCF President (March 2012)
(Click Here to Read the last President’s Letter)
We just finished a very successful C-Tiers tournament weekend where we maxed-out the field and had about 90 each day! The weather was outstanding, and so were the players! Congrats to all, and thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make it successful: Tim Wiegard for TD’ing; Steve Kleiber for taking registrations and handling the money; Greg Dohogne for helping with registrations and everything else at tournament central; Ted Spies for taking pics, helping everywhere, and updating the website; Mark Dudenhoffer for running the ring of fire both days; Chris Kinsella for handling membership signups and running a CTP tag contest; Tim Finan for helping to get Endicott ready; and Francis Albanese for helping to get Sioux ready. Thanks…

3/31/12: Club/Board Meeting Scheduled for April 2nd
It’s time for another STLDGC Meeting! We’ll be back at Schlafly Bottleworks on Monday night @ 6pm and as always, there will be plenty to discuss: the upcoming St. Louis Open, new course opportunities, the state of affairs at existing Courses, restocking our disc inventory, and various and sundry other issues- the best way to join the conversation and be a part of the Club’s decision making process is to come to the meetings and have your voice be heard. Pairing serious frisbee business with a pint or two of Schlafly’s housebrewed libations, and then catching the March Madness final- is there any better way to spend a Monday?
All members are welcome!

3/22/12: The STLDGC Announces the River City Ratings
The St. Louis Disc Golf Club is excited to announce the all-new River City Ratings system! Developed, tested, and tweaked over the last several months with help and input from long time golfers and Tournament Directors, the hope is that the Ratings will be a fun addition to the benefits of Club Membership. The River City Ratings are a great way to compare oneself with other area golfers, and can also be used to enhance the competition and parity at Club Tournaments and Events.
The initial Ratings (see the Top 100 to the left) include all eligible 2012-season rounds from the Club Championships’ Sunday at Sioux Passage through today, and the next River City Ratings Update will come shortly after the March C-Tiers this weekend. Check out the FAQ and get additional info below, and look for more details coming very soon, including a new page here on the website where all of the Ratings Updates will be posted.

3/16/12: STLDGC Disc Inventory Restocked!
The River City Flyers are updating their disc inventory, and will soon have most of the newer manufacturers’ product represented, as well as having the newest models on the market in stock for you to paw through and find that perfect fit! Orders have been placed that will ensure the bins and boxes of discs are overflowing at the March C-Tiers, and the Club will re-up again before The St. Louis Open in May. Whether it’s the Blizzard discs from Innova, Discraft’s upcoming Titanium line, some sweet Swedish plastic from Latitude 64, or a refreshed selection of Gateway discs including their newest offerings- the STLDGC has the best disc selection in town as well as the lowest prices…come to one of our Events and check it out for yourself!
Stop by the Club Inventory Forum to let us know what you’d like to see in stock!
3/9/12: Club/Board Meeting Scheduled for March 12th
The St. Louis Disc Golf Club will bring their traveling roadshow of monthly meetings to Maplewood this coming Monday. We’ll be setting up shop at Schlafly’s Bottleworks on Southwest Ave. near Manchester at 6pm. Schlafly is a major club-sponsor, and the exclusive provider of frosty beverages for STLDGC events- come out and return their support! Our Meetings are Club Members’ chance to meet some of the RCF’s Volunteers, hear the latest news and DG developments from the Club’s Board Members, and to voice your opinion and share your ideas for taking the fastest-growing sport in the world to the next level. There’s a lot to discuss- from preparing for the upcoming PDGA Events to talking about new & developing courses, and setting long term plans and priorities…Don’t miss it!
