In 2008 St. Louis became part of the PDGA Affiliate Program which is a program designed to get more disc golfers involved in PDGA events and save them money at the same time. The program offers a discount to members that sign up through an affiliate program like the St. Louis Disc Golf Club. 

Last year we signed up more members for the PDGA through the Affiliate Program than any other club/city in the United States! We signed up 60 members between the March C-Tiers and the St. Louis Open. For this achievement we were awarded $100 to use at their on-line store. Since a few members have mentioned an interest in the Phenix Quad Shocks, I’ll order a few pair of them. This year the PDGA has made it even easier to sign up/renew through the Affiliate Program. You can do it on-line through www.pdga.com Here is a step by step for how to sign up/renew your PDGA membership for 2009.

-Scroll over PDGA HQ (a drop down menu will appear)

   - Click on Pro Shop

- Click on Affiliate Program in the left side menu

- Click on 2009 Affiliate Club Memberships …

- Select either NEW or RENEW (whichever applies)

 * This will take you to an on-line application to fill in. When you get to the drop down menu titled “Affiliate Program” simply select “09 St. Louis Disc Golf”

You will be a current member of the PDGA which allows you to play in PDGA sanctioned events like the two C-Tier events we have at JB and Sioux Passage in March and the St. louis Open in May.

2009 Schedule

The 2009 Tournament Schedule is finished and available here under the Events tab. You can click on the link and the full color poster will come up. You may have to minimize the size of it depending on the size of your screen. It is also available at some of the courses. I have the posters so I just need to get them to course captains and get them hung up.

Unger Park

In January the River City Flyers installed our newest 18 hole championship course at Unger Park in Fenton, MO. The front 9 is tightly wound through a heavily wooded area. The back 9 is very stretched out including a couple par 5s and a lot of water. Bring your power, accuracy and water discs to this course when you come.

Hole 1 starts right off the parking lot and hole 10 tees off from teh pavilion. For more information contact course captain Brad Fortman or log on to our discussion board.

Course Captains have discs and tags so if you haven’t joind the club yet this year and want to, see any course captain. The cost is $20 to join, which gets you a 2009 bag tag and club stamped putter from Gateway.
